How do you rank well in Google?   People often tell me that the trick is to build back links to your website . Are they right?  Yes they are very right.  If you want to rank well in Google, it is important that you have many back links pointing to your website . This is because Google regards this back links are votes for your blog .

The way Google works is that they crawl the web using spiders or google bots. These electronic creepy crawlers index the web and at the same time check out all the links on these websites. They will then count the number of links that they send out to the other websites. Then there is also the issue of pagerank which is counted via the number of links pointing to a single website. The higher the number of quality links the higher your pagerank. A website with a high pagerank may command more authority in Google, but not necessarily trump your website or blog as it would depend on the text which is being searched. If you have many links pointing to your site with say the anchor text “make money online” and you got 100 such links, another website with a higher pagerank may have 200 links to its site but because most of these links do not have the anchor text “make money online”, this site will most likely not rank higher than you for the term “make money online”.

So how do you get backlinks? It is important that you first do a search on the internet perhaps using google and using the phrase get more backlinks. There not too difficult right? You would see a whole list of websites that give you access to back links. Click these google results and you would realise that many of these sites may not work out. They are mainly link exchange sites and some are banner exchange sites that trade traffic. How they actually work I do not really know so I do not dare to try these out.

What about doing a search for free one way link? Ah maybe now the results are better. By looking for free back links, you do not need to pay a single cent. Since they are free so why not try them out? If you have a blog that is just set up as an experimental one, you can sign up for these sites and try these programs on them. Who knows you might be able to find a program that is not only free but allows you to build many links and make money online.
